Strom Noir is a very productive project mastered by the Polish drone artist Emil Maťko, who has released about 11 discs so far, of which the last two, “Urban Blues” (on Zoharum) and “Esoptron”, have received very good reactions in the underground.

7. Strom Noir è il progetto di musica ambientale dello slovacco Emil Mat’ko. Il precedente album Urban Blues virava decisamente verso l’esplorazione di ambienti e spazi urbani di cui rappresentava una sorta di ideale colonna sonora. L’uso di eterei drones di chitarra era la caratteristica principale del disco. Ora l’etichetta polacca Zoharum pubblica un altro album di Strom Noir.

9. Their collaborative album is a piece of work suspended between two stylistics penetrated within their own solo projects, and at the same time it is perfectly complementary. On one side we have the guitar/electronic passages so characteristic of Strom Noir, and on the other the sonic structures prepared from defects and scraps that has been explored for several years by Micromelancolié.
